Turtle and Kini are crazy for coconuts!  A coconut is the large, oval, brown seed of a tropical palm, consisting of a hard shell lined with edible white flesh and containing a clear liquid. It grows inside a woody husk, surrounded by fiber.  Coconuts come from various different regions around the world, each offering their own different taste and flavor mainly due to weather and soil conditions.  Coconut palms thrive on sandy soils and prefer areas with abundant sunlight, high humidity, and regular rainfall.  Given proper care and growing conditions, coconut palms produce their first fruit in six to ten years, taking 15 to 20 years to reach peak production.
